St. Austin would not be the school it is today without the support from our network of school parents continuously providing their time and talent for the greater good of all our students and is truly the secret to our history of continued success. The purpose of our Parents Club is to promote and support the mission and operation of the school by providing communication and volunteer assistance, building community spirit among our families through social events, and serving the broader community through service projects. Whatever your interest or talents may be, there is always an opportunity to become involved at St. Austin!
There are a number of opportunities parents of St. Austin have to get involved in the overall well-being and spirit of our school. Some of which include:
Plan and coordinate popular school events including: Halloween Hoot, City Lights Annual Gala, Donuts for Dads, Mardi Gras for Moms, and much more!
Promote Eagle Athletics through school Booster Club fundraising and events.
Room Parents are designated one per class and assist in the planning and communication of specific events and activities for your child’s class.
Serve as liaison for administration to the parent community, as well as help grow our school by joining our Parent Ambassador program.
Organize teacher appreciation luncheons and other recognition events for school faculty/staff.
Please contact school administrative staff if you are interested in getting involved today!
As required by the Diocese of Austin, all parents must complete an Ethics and Integrity in Ministry (EIM) training prior to volunteering at the school. EIM promotes the protection of minors, elderly adults and adults with disabilities as well as ethical behavior in all ministry.
New applicants, and those who have never attended an EIM workshop, must attend an in-person EIM Workshop to fulfill their initial EIM compliance requirement.
Online EIM Training is available for existing applicants who have previously attended a workshop and are due to update/renew their EIM compliance.
Please visit the Diocese of Austin Ethics and Integrity in Ministry webpage for more information and resources.
