Be it known to all who enter here that Christ is the reason for this school.
He is the unseen, but ever present teacher in its classrooms.
He is the model for its faculty and the inspiration of its students

What we will be doing August 30-September 3
-
This week we will be talking about our summer vacations, sharing stories and looking at pictures. We will mark places we went on our big map and think about places we might like to go in the future. One of my favorites was Hawaii. Fortunately, someone close to me lived there and was a hula instructor. She will visit us on Wednesday, show us pictures, read us stories, play authentic instruments and teach us how to hula. Then on Friday, we will have a special Luau snack (fruit kabobs & Hawaiian bread).
-
We currently have 2 tiny caterpillars growing in our room. They actually hatched from "dot" eggs in our classroom and are steadily eating through the leaves. Each day we play "where's waldo" trying to locate them and look forward to the day when they are big enough to see from afar. It continues to be a joyous mystery to what their crysalis will look like or what color their wings will be.
- Godly Play will not begin until next week.
-
show & tell- items should only be 1 item or 1 set. September 3 friends will be: Abby, Ava, Bralon
Daily info.:
- water bottles-please be sure to include a water bottle for your child. With such hot days we want to make sure the kids stay hydrated. We will keep the bottle during the week (keep in fridge over night), then send it home for washing at the end of the week.
- nappers-will stay at school all week and sent home for washing at the end of the week.
- snack-we will provide morning snacks this week and next-goldfish & animal crackers. If your child has a HEALTHY snack leftover from lunch, they can eat that for afternoon snack.
- home toys- we encourage your children to leave toys from home at home so they do not get lost or misplaced. We know how very sad they would be if their home toy ended up gone. Home toys are special for home use. School toys are special for school use. We want your children to enjoy both experiences, uniquely. Please help us encourage this idea at home with your child.
- school mass- Friday's at 8:15. We will be attending all school masses this year, with our mass buddies.
-
mass uniforms include: boys-white shirts/khaki shorts/pants, belt (if you have loops), black or white dress shoes or tennis shoes
girls-white peter-pan shirts w/plaid jumper or plaid skort, black or white dress shoes or tennis shoes w/ white socks or tights, and shorts underneath any skirt. - Red Folders-sent home every Wednesday with important info. from teachers, office, room parents, or your child's priceless work. Please return cleaned out folder back on Thursday.
