St. Austin participates in many community service activities each year to foster a lifelong desire for service to others and demonstrate a sense of moral and social responsibility.
St. Austin has a monthly non-uniform day for charity, in which students come to school out of uniform in exchange for a charitable contribution to a designated charity. Faith families, classrooms, and individuals have led numerous charity drives at St. Austin. Some past community service activities include:
- Operation School Bell - school supplies donations
- Helping Hand Home - supplies donations
- Safe Place - supplies donations
- Hurricane Katrina victims - enrollment in the school; furniture, clothing and housewares donations; monetary donations
- Coats for Kids
- orphanages - clothing, supplies , and monetary donations
- book drives
