100 years of 100th Day of School celebrations!

January 25, 2018

Celebration of 100 years of Social Awareness and Justice at St. Austin Catholic School.

Please join us on campus to celebrate 100 years of community awareness, service and social justice as we kick off 2018. On St. Austin Catholic School's 100th Day of School, 2018 you are welcomed to participate in a day of giving to St. Austin Catholic Parish's Social Justice Ministries. Celebrations will begin at 7:30am as our students arrive with their families for a Blacktop Social prior to Morning Assembly.  Students will have a free dress for charity day and will bring:

PK3 and PK4 - Women's crew socks, 3 pair per student
K and 1st - Toothbrush covers or cases, 3 per student
2nd - Travel size men's deodorant, 4 per student
3rd - Toothbrushes in single packs, 4 per student
4th - Travel toothpaste, 4 per student
5th and 6th - Travel shampoo, 3 per student
7th and 8th - Small packages of laundry pods, 3 packages per student (available at Dollar Tree in packages of 10)

Coffee will be available. Pat Macy, our Director of Social Justice Ministries will update us on the work of the ministries and the importance of our School and Parish within the Austin community. She will be available for questions and to offer information about volunteering. Fr. Rich Andre, CSP will do a blessing over the items and funds we receive as donations. We will offer tours of the School after morning assembly for returning alumni who would like to take a stroll down memory lane, beginning at 8:00am. 

There is no cover charge, but we encourage all visitors to bring an item of personal hygiene (list above) or make a contribution to the Social Justice Ministries either in person on January 25.


A drop off point will be created on the Blacktop that morning.  Any visitors with donations who come after 8:00am will enter the main school building through the front door to access the drop off point.
